A global financial-services career
Based in Abu Dhabi since 2024, with a career that has run through London, New York, and Asia-Pacific. More than twenty years in institutional capital markets: e-FX, prime brokerage, and institutional distribution at Citi, IG Group, and Integral. That includes founding and running an FCA-regulated Prime of Prime brokerage as sole director, holding CF1, CF3, and CF30.
That foundation in brokerage, banking, and fintech is what makes the digital-money work credible. The advisory is not narrow to stablecoins; it draws on a long operating history across financial services.

The operator’s seat
In 2022 I was headhunted to lead the GYEN and ZUSD businesses at GMO-Z.com Trust Company, an NYDFS-chartered trust and the issuer of the world’s first regulated JPY stablecoin. I joined in the aftermath of a de-peg incident and took on the regulator-facing rebuild.
Over the next four years I operated through events that most of this industry only models. We banked with both Signature Bank and Silvergate, so their failures cost us our banking rails directly, while the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank sent wider shocks through the sector, including the brief de-pegging of USDC. I led a protracted effort to secure alternatives under acute pressure. When a quantity of GYEN was attacked on a decentralised exchange, I executed a freeze-and-seize, coordinated the incident response, and delivered the full report to the NYDFS. Throughout, I held Senior Officer designation under 23 NYCRR Part 200.
This is the experience I bring to clients: not the theory of regulated digital money, but the operational reality of running it when conditions turn. That holds whether you are issuing in dollars, in your own currency, or weighing how dollar stablecoins fit your market.
Standards, policy, and industry leadership
I co-founded the Stablecoin Standard and co-designed StableCheck, its quality-rating methodology, and co-founded MESA, the GCC’s primary stablecoin governance body. I serve as Vice-Chair of the Global Digital Assets Committee at ACI, the worldwide association for wholesale financial-markets professionals, with member banks across the globe and a World Congress that this year convenes in Accra. I contributed to the Wharton BDAP Stablecoin Toolkit alongside Anchorage, Circle, Tether, Ripple, PayPal, and leading universities, work later cited at the World Economic Forum.
These roles are held in the industry’s interest and kept independent of my commercial advisory.
